Gain hands on experience with CP

Open to (pre) OT, PT, AT, Nursing, PA, and Med students.

I’m Matt, a recent grad with CP. I need one-on-one help with symptom management, light stretching, massage using a ton of Biofreeze, and other support as needed. I’m a medical dumpster fire, so it keeps things interesting for everyone involved. I have worked with students of all experience levels throughout my time in undergrad and grad school. Whether you’re experienced or not, this has proven to be a good experience for many students in the past. I look GREAT on resumes and grad school apps. If you genuinely care about me and want to grow together and have some fun doing it, you’re in the right place. I’m looking for students who fit like a glove. Pay

$16–20/hr

Hours

1-6 per week, flexible pending my needs and your availability.

Regular and backup roles available.

  • You’re in OT, PT, Nursing, Pre-Med, etc
  • You’re actually interested in me and my wellbeing
  • You have prior experience with hands on care (PCAs tend to do very well)
  • You’re fine with gloves, close contact, and occasional grossness
  • You can handle the physical and emotional demands of caregiving
  • You’re nurturing, empathetic, and confident. (clinical types- see below)
  • You’re more calm and grounded than loud and chaotic, or you can modulate well. I have the social battery of an iPhone 4 some days.
  • Experience helps, but vibe matters more. We’re going to spend a lot of time together, so we have to mesh well.
  • I can sometimes tolerate lack of warmth for high competence and experience, but you have a high bar.
